Veve Tee
Threads over threads create a chaotic image resembling the drawing the Veve Tee is based on. We have known Vera and Daphne, the Correll sisters, from the early years of KIOSK when we were in SoHo and they were in Chinatown. Now Vera is in Portland and Daphne is in Berlin and we all continue to do what we do. Over time I have collected several pieces from them: a dress, two skirts, a bunch of t-shirts, all of which but the latest I have reduced to shreds. When I wear their clothes I don't think clothing, I guess that's why I appreciate the pieces so much, I think art.Unisex- in a range of sizes. Machine embroidery on a black, organic cotton T-shirt with a multi-colored thread pattern. Pre-washed for no shrinkage.Keetja who makes the Garamon candles and Correll Correll used to have studio sales together, I think it's through Keetja I met Vera and Daphne but I can't be sure, I could have found my way into a sample sale and met them there.
